I think the conference should have little direct impact on prices and even if prices do go up or down, i think i would not correlate it with consensus. It is lagging indicator of interest in bitcoin and crypto, not a leading indicator. Increase in bitcoin adoption was already highlighted by the sharp price rise in 2017. 4800 or more attendees at consensus is a result of that and not the other way around.
Although i want prices to go up, i will also prefer that the correlation between consensus and bitcoin price is broken this year.
makes sense but I think that more attendees also means more mouth-to-mouth advertisment, which should lead to even more interest and hence the "bull run". I adjusted my expectations for this one, I didn't take a good winner because of increased expectations. Thanks for commenting.
