The sky was completely darkened over the United States of America on August 21 this year because of the total eclipse of the sun, the largest since the discovery of America in 1776.

The event was described as "the Great American Eclipse" because it is a complete solar eclipse, and the sky is completely darkened.

The shadow of the moon swept most of North America. The eclipse began in the Pacific Ocean and ended in the Atlantic Ocean crossing the United States from coast to coast on its way from the northwest to the southeastern coast of the United States

This was the first eclipse since 99 years, passing from the west coast to the east coast.

Millions of Americans gathered across the United States to watch the rare cosmic phenomenon.

"The dark sky can be seen in the morning," said Palab Ghosh, the BBC's America correspondent, showing a smiling face in the sky, approaching the complete eclipse complete
