The Irishman himself went to the police, reports The New York Times. Law enforcement authorities intend to question McGregor about the incident at Barclays Center, but have not yet raised any official charges against him.

On April 5, McGregor flew with his team to New York and went to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, where they held promo events before the UFC 223.

In the parking lot of the sports complex, McGregor attacked a bus carrying the team of the Russian MMA fighter Habib Nurmagomedov. The Irishman threw a chair into the bus and broke the window. He also tried to throw metal barriers and a garbage can to the side of the bus, but was stopped by people from his entourage.

As a result of the incident, minor injuries were received by fighters Michael Chiesa and Ray Borg, who were on the bus.

The reason for the escapade of Conor McGregor is believed to be the recent confrontation between Habib Nurmagomedov and the sparring partner of Irishman Artem Lobov who was declared to participate in the UFC 223 tournament. Lobov, who also participated in the attack on the bus, has already been removed from the competition.
On the night of April 8 in New York, the fight for the title of UFC Lightweight Champion between Habib Nurmagomedov and American Max Holloway should be fought.
