Hackers Release More 9/11 Documents After Getting Bitcoin Payments

in #news5 years ago

In a strange turn of events, The Dark Overlord hacker group is now accepting Bitcoin payments to release tiers of 9/11 documents they claim to have hacked from insurance companies. They just released a new set of documents a few minutes ago in response to getting more than $300 in Bitcoin today. (The earlier set they released appeared to be mostly litigation, and insurance companies trying to find ways to shift blame so they wouldn't have to make full payments.)

I wrote all about the group and what's happened so far on Heavy here.

It seems they've gotten a following on Reddit, where they're posting as u/tdo_h4ck3rs, after being banned on Twitter. They posted about their new release here on Reddit. It was just released, so I can't tell you what's in it yet. On a Pastebin note they said they'd release more based on how much they were paid. They said, for example, that if they got $100,000 USD in the form of Bitcoin would release a decryption key for all of Layer 2.

You can follow how many payments they've gotten here. So far it looks like just 4 payments, with the fourth one being the largest.

I'm curious what the Steemit community thinks of all this. I detailed more about what's happening on Heavy here.

Wow, I didn't even know this was going on!
I've downloaded the Checkpoint_01.zip and will have a look tomorrow but from the comments it looks like nothing great so far... everyone is waiting for some serious info to be released that will be game changing.

I do hope the hackers are serious and have real private documents. We all know 9/11 was a big conspiracy.

That's what I've heard so far too regarding the Checkpoint 01 doc. Will be interested to know if you find anything more substantial in it!

Btw, there's now a Checkpoint 02 also.

I was offline yesterday but just checked and the pages have been removed. Did you download Checkpoint 02?

This is a psyop. First, BTC is not a secure currency, although laundering via gambling sites is just as easy as Paddock's use of casinos. Actual state actor level surveillance is not prevented from tracking funds by such mechanisms, although most h4x0rs are.

Taking on entities competent to get away with 9/11 for $300 in BTC?

I submit this is not credible.

There is another reason this is happening.

Thanks!
