RE: Facebook Approves Fake Ads Of 100 Sitting US Senators

in #news6 years ago

Theres essentially no accountability for the companies which dominate the mainstream news and social media sphere. They operate with impunity and so far have been above reason, truth, and the law.

Either the boot needs to come off alternate media, or the unregulated fake news machine needs to be decimated.... yesterday.

This post is just one more shining example of the eminent radiance of our news/advertising overlords, thanks for sharing.

Thanks for taking the time to read my post. I still find it hard to believe they do not take the time to verify ads supposedly posted by Senators. It's crazy.

Indeed, it's like a ruler who ascends to the very summit of power, only to get lax in his dilligence. Then they only listen to advisors or power itself and forget about the people they claim to govern. A company like facebook is so alone at the top in terms of traffic, user base, and notoriety, they have completely lost sight of anything but growth and influence. To them each supposed political ad gives them creedance as brokers in the political sphere, a place they are much too comfortable in as shown by your post.

Not to mention the smug and almost alien behavior of Zuckerberg before congress, a true sight to behold.

Many tentacles heavily laden with crazy protrude from that company my friend ☺

Damn, we should have written this post together. Yes, Facebook is exactly as you describe. A hungry beast that has lost sight of its noble intentions from which it was born. Now it's just another strand in the web killing all notions of privacy, honesty, and accountability.
