Sundarganj Police Station OC Sundarganj Officer-in-charge of Sundarganj Thana SM Abdus Sobhan received the Nelson Mandela Peace Award as recognition for his contribution in protecting law and order.

He received the award from Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal and Freedom Fighter Affairs Minister Bir Uttamuddin Advocate ABM Mozammel Haque at the Dhaka Central Public Library Hall in the city on 23 November (Tuesday).

Senior Vice Chairman of Human Rights Alliance Professor Dr. Golam Mowla, Chief Advisor Justice Sikder Maqbool Haque and Secretary General Milon Mallik were present at the time. OC said that any recognition of the work has increased the interest in the work, and I am very active in protecting the law and order.
