Bitcoin Satellite Blockstream Reaches the Asia Pacific
Blockstream Bitcoin satellites now reach the Asia Pacific region, including Indonesia. With this range, Bitcoin users in Indonesia can also send bitcoin transactions using [Lightning Network](https://www.edukasibitcoin.com/lightning -network /). Activation of Blockstream through Telstar 18V in the second phase of the Bitcoin satellite range for the Asian region is indeed running a little sluggish from the initial target period. However, with this activation, it means that the Blockstream Bitcoin satellite has now reached all regions of the world.
The Blockstream satellite was first launched in August 2017. From the start, the satellite projection was intended so that Bitcoin users could access the bitcoin network much easier, even if they did not have an internet connection.
Previously, the coverage of Blockstream's Bitcoin satellite only covered North and South America, Africa and Europe. Whereas now, it means that bitcoin users around the world have the opportunity to be able to transact bitcoin for free, without having to connect to the internet.
Phase II of Blockstream's Bitcoin Satellite is active, reaching the Asia Pacific region, including Indonesia with Telstar 18V.

Bitcoin users can access nodes on the Bitcoin network through these satellites, and broadcast transactions that utilize "Lightning Network" technology. The value of transaction fees using Lightning Network is also much cheaper, with a count per kilobyte.
Access users in remote areas, far from internet coverage or limited connections, can be directly connected to this satellite. According to Chris Cook, the main purpose of Blockstream's satellite is indeed to benefit the bitcoin community globally.
Blockstream itself has indeed completed the message processing feature to transact using Lightning Network. The nodes connected to the satellite are called to be safer because the synchronization process is only accepting, so it is far from the potential hacking gap.
In addition, Blockstream itself will also update API services that are ready to be launched and operational in early 2019. Even before, Blockstream also released Liquid Network. So many updates, innovations from Blockstream or others, adoption and optimism are increasingly visible, the impact in the future is for the mass adoption of the wider bitcoin community.
