⟹ Neemrana Dialogue: India-Pakistan revive Track II diplomacy talks after three years, but major outcomes unlikely. The Narendra Modi-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government has agreed to revive the Track II diplomacy process with Pakistan despite its apparent aversion to conventional talks with the neighbouring country. The original Track II initiative, called the Neemrana Dialogue, received a fresh start when a high-powered delegation of former Indian diplomats, military veterans and academics travelled to Pakistan on 28 April to discuss ways to improve the India-Pakistan relationship. The initiative this time was taken by Pakistan that wanted this dialogue to happen in Islamabad since the dialogues so far had been happening in third countries.

⟹ Top aide to Pope Francis Cardinal George Pell pleades 'not guilty' to multiple sex abuse charges ahead of trial. Melbourne: Vatican finance chief Cardinal George Pell became the highest-ranked Catholic ever to be sent to trial over historic sex offences on Tuesday, with the elderly priest vowing to fight the charges. The 76-year-old was impassive throughout the hearing in Melbourne that ordered him to face a jury on "multiple" charges, although half of the allegations against him, including some of the most serious, were thrown out.

⟹ South Korea, Japan, China to hold trilateral summit on 9 May, results of inter-Korea summit to be discussed. Seoul: South Korea, China and Japan will hold a trilateral summit in Tokyo next week, Seoul announced Tuesday, the latest move in a diplomatic whirlwind centred around North Korea. The gathering on 9 May will bring together the South's President Moon Jae-in, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, in the neighbours' first such meeting for more than two years.

The E&A business had a net revenue of Rs 5,038 crore in the financial year ended 31 March, 2017.
