Indian Home Minister Rajnath in Dhaka

Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh came to Dhaka on Friday evening on a three-day visit. In the meetings of two neighboring home ministries, security issues related to security cooperation, especially cooperation in the fight against terrorism, stop killing of border, trafficking in cross-border crime including arms, drugs and illegal currency trafficking will be important.

Rajnath Singh, who came to Bangabandhu Airfield on Dhaka-Dhaka special flight on Friday evening, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal welcomed him there. Indian High Commissioner Harsh Vardhan Shingla was also present.

Citing a government official, UNB said Rajnath will hold a meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday morning. The meeting will discuss issues related to mutual interests of the two countries.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Rajnath Singh will inaugurate India's new Visa Application Center in Jamuna Future Park on Saturday. From there, Rajshahi will go to the Saradar Police Academy. The Bangladesh-India Friendship Building will be inaugurated by the Home Minister of the two countries. Returning to Dhaka in the evening, Rajnath Singh will join the dinner hosted by Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan in his honor.
