US and Chinese Trade War
Tensions keep rising between China and the US.
Donald Trump has announced hefty trade tariffs on Chinese imported goods, to the tune of $50 billion.
China has now hit back threatening to respond is the same way on US imported goods.
This move from China is likely to set off a trade war, as Trump has announced that respond to any tariffs China imposes.
Here is a direct quote from Trump's statement.
“The United States will pursue additional tariffs if China engages in retaliatory measures, such as imposing new tariffs on United States goods, services, or agricultural products; raising non-tariff barriers or taking punitive actions against American exporters or American companies operating in China,”
