Straw Law. California Has Jumped The Shark.

When I read this I literally did see my brain.....

In what has to be the dumbest law ever thought of has to go to Majority Leader Ivan Calderon of California. He is purposing up to 6 months in jail and a $1000 fine for handing out a straw to a customer without a request for a straw. This only applies to a sit down style restaurant and not to fast food style establishments. What I don't get is how is this law actually going to be enforced? Are you supposed to call some hotline to report a waiter or waitress for handing out a straw? And really going to jail a possible third or forth time offender? Who is actually pay the fine ? The waiter who barely makes minimum wage? Why not start with all the problems with the trash being tossed by the homeless all over the state? This is California, again the nanny state that has to dictate every action of your life. How Pathetic. I'm sad to say I live in this shit hole of a state now.
