Brazil:Court dismisses Lula's release

The Superior Court of Justice of Brazil announced today that it will not examine next Tuesday, as was planned, a new request for release presented by former president Luiz Inácio's lawyers Lula da Silva.
As is known, since last April 7th Lula is in jail, where he is serving a sentence of 12 years in prison for corruption and money laundering.
Already on June 13, the Court had rejected a request for release that Lula's lawyers had presented so that the former president could participate in the election campaign for the presidential elections on October 7th.
