Donald Trump is slapping the European Union for its fine of GOOGLE

in #news6 years ago

US President Donald Trump on July 19 criticized the European Union and said the bloc was benefiting from the United States, referring to powerful European antitrust regulators and a $ 5 billion fine on Google.
On July 18, EU officials also ordered Google to stop using its leading Android mobile operating system to prevent rivals, increasing trade tensions between Washington and Brussels.
Jean-Claude Juncker, the European Commission president, is scheduled to meet with Trump at the White House on July 25 to discuss trade and other issues.
Google said it would appeal the EU decision. The fine, worth 4.34 billion euros ($ 5 billion), is almost double the previous sentence ordered by the company last year, but more than two weeks from the company's parent company, Alphabet.
