When I brought up the issue of upvote spamming the other day, the attitude that small account holders are relatively meaningless as voters came through in arguments put forward by a couple of large stakeholders. This view is not totally wrong as it is a fact that the distribution of Steem Power is still quite top heavy, way too top heavy, but it misses an important point. Someone with a large stake is a single person and can only see a small part of what happens on the entire platform. Even collectively, they are a small group. There are two aspects to voting: 1) magnitude, which is determined by stake and 2) targeting, determined by awareness and intention. Large stakeholders can't possibly purge this platform from abuse and reward all the valuable content without a lot of help from below.

If the largest stakeholders want a healthier economy, they are going to have to acknowledge the fact that they are crucially dependent on the large numbers of small stakeholders to dig up valuable content for their stake to direct rewards to and to expose abuse. That can be done manually or by delegating to curation projects. @steemflagrewards is a fine project that rewards abuse reporting that is supported by delegations from large stakeholders and which involves manually checking the rewards.

Now, for some photos I took this morning.

The first half of September is a time when the summer is normally close to ending in the south of Finland. This year is not an exception. The daily maximum temperatures start dropping from levels comfortable enough for going out wearing a t-shirt and shorts. Today will be warm like in the summer (daily max 23 C) but the maximum will stay under 20 C and will begin to dip below 15 C from now on. it very much looks like summer. There are some yellow leaves already but I saw those in late July already and that was because of the long hot and dry spell in July.

Harvesting takes place in August or early September here.

I don't get why they left those two trees standing in the middle of the field but they look good.

This small house is in one of the oldest regions of the city at a very quiet spot by a pond surrounded by a busy railway line and some of the busiest streets. I don't know if anyone lives in it any longer.
