• First, the NewYorkCoin successfully forked at block 4,800,000 enabling a plethora of great features including merged mining, new and improved security features, and the inflation reduction plan has successfully been implemented. Every 500,000 blocks moving forward from 4,800,000 the block reward is coded to cut in half. This will slow down the amount of NewYorkCoin being mined into circulation as the chain grows in age. • The second piece of info that I am happy to announce is that the community has successfully come together to secure support from Coinomi, they have officially been paid the fee that they requested and are currently on the forked chain, operating just as smooth as before! The community Rainstorm Team hosted a rainstorm this past weekend, raining out NYC for free onto active members in the Discord server, massive amounts of NYC were given away. The rainstorm eventually got so heavy, and so much NYC was being rained out, that towards the end the storm, the bot actually stopped functioning, talk about a heavy storm! • Last, there have been many attempts by individuals to spread FUD regarding NewYorkCoin, the recent 51% attack, and the Dev Team. Only someone without an understanding of the attack and the wide scope of people who were affected would make such preposterous claims, such as the admins, or the Dev Team being involved, it's complete and utter nonsense. I know many individuals who were victims of the recent 51% attack, and saying that they would succumb to being victims of their own attack is ignorance at it's very core. The admins and Dev Team have proven time and time again to be nothing but transparent with the community regarding the development choices that are made, this is why they bring ideas to the community first, so that nothing comes as a surprise, and so that everyone has a say on said choices. Volunteers of their stature should be trusted and treated with nothing less than the utmost respect, especially given the amount of effort they've put into preventing the very attacks that recently happened.

In closing, I want thank each of you for standing by NewYorkCoin, on behalf of the community, the strength shown within this community is unmatched.
