creatures are all family too

I still wonder how any one claiming to be a human being cannot love animals. All animals are precious and even those which we use for food are life and blood beings which should be treated with reverence and respect. We were given dominion over all creatures yes, but those who abuse this mandate will not be accepted into the highest realms of eternal existence. When I look into an animals eyes I see that same light as I see in my loved ones' eyes and I am horrified by many of the cases of abuse and neglect which we are confronted with all too often. Anyone claiming to be a true disciple and abuses any creature (man or animal) deceives only himself.
