This is my first time for me and the rest of the Steemians attended this charity works for children with cancer. The event is initiated by @purpletanzanite as a giving back birthday celebration to the kids. Lovely isn't it?!

Along with me is the Steem.ph core leader @jassennessaj and other steemians @cheft, @iamquenlevita and @gratefulayn. We set the meet up time at 1pm. We would like to thank you for those steemians who reached out and donated as well as @purpletanzanite's friends. God is good and may the Almighty shower you more blessings! <3

There are also over 30 non-steemians volunteers who participated and contributed. On the event day, we bought snacks, clay materials , some goods mostly boxes of personal care and some food the organization needed.

Everlasting Hope organized different and unique programs that we have to follow on a specific event date in celebration of their 2nd Anniversary. We have the opportunity to put up a station where we can interact with children. We bought clay materials and leave us surprises that children became more creative with the colors and object formation they want to make.

How It Started

It started with an introduction, welcoming visitors, giving recognition and certificates for those committed and consistent volunteers who come to their center.

Activities

The activities include origami making, hand painting, drawing, creating thank you card. These activities make us excited because it is our first time to do these, something different, something exciting yet fun and enjoyable.

Hence the Everlasting Hope center is under renovation, they accept volunteers who can do the yard work, painting on the areas and cleaning.

Food

About the food we share each other together with the volunteers. They also bring things, donations, giving supplies and financial support, and the most important gift is the presence, the time, hugs, smile, touch. Lovely!!

Further, we also have the opportunity to share Steemit to foreign people, while we are waiting for other volunteers. They are Tony and Sarah from the USA. We had a mini-orientation about the basics in Steemit. They look so interested and wants to join. ;)

The time spent with the Everlasting Hope was so special, it was a dream come true for me to serve children with cancer, far more than we thought could be possible.

We went home with pure happiness, renewed faith, a new love for the poor, a new vision of our lives and the desire to come back and help once more.
