Windflower a beautiful and early spring plant.

Windflower (Anemone nemorosa) is a dear spring plant over large parts of Norway. It is among our earliest spring plants, and most look forward to the time when the lovely white flowers cover the forest floor and lawns in the garden.
If one comes close to the flowers with a macro lens, one can study this little plant in detail, with its delicate white petals, the yellow male pollen and the more greenish female seeds in the base of the flower. They are both necessary for the plant to develop seed that can germinate.
