He happily barked when the earth was not yet visible, but he knew that she was already close. He chased annoying seagulls and hunted ship rats. His friendliness made even the most sullen sea wolves smile.
Rob went down to the cargo hold and did his favorite thing. Fat rats ran in different directions, it was fun. Tired of hunting, Rob curled up in the corner of the hold and fell asleep.

He dreamed of a large brain bone from the broth that cooks cook James. The dream was sweet and strong.

Suddenly, a strong storm struck, the ship threw like a straw across the open sea. Bounce shook the ship. The crackling of the breaking boards of the ship did not bode well.

The ship gave a roll on board, and the crew, in the confusion, left the ship on the boat.

The ship did not sink. A strong storm threw him on the shore of a small island in the middle of the ocean.

A strong push woke Rob up. He jumped to his feet and barked. He listened, around, there was silence.

Something strange was in this silence. Something was missing. Lacked the most important thing! There was no favorite smell, the smell of man!

Dim light made its way through the hole in the side of the ship. Rob shyly went there. Coast!

Sea water flowed into the sand of the beach, playing music of sand grains.

Rob went ashore, the sun was already setting over the horizon. He waited that from there, from far away, his favorite smell would be heard - the smell of a man.

Watercolor, this is what I wage war with. She, while winning. All that I have is intuition. Lack of experience working with watercolors creates a lot of difficulties. But, we go forward, we learn. Understanding this question will not come by itself. Need to practice. This picture I put aside several times, I doubted that I could complete it, but I overcame myself.

The A5 picture format is a thumbnail, half a regular sheet for an A4 printer. I used a simple pencil for sketch and watercolor paints.

I hope Rob will find his human friends and soon, poor lonely Rob!

A nice picture with a good story :) I think you should definitely try to get your hands on proper watercolour paper, so that your creations will end up less in wavy paper :)
