The fobidden City Entrance

Constructed from 1406 -1420 this temple complex consisted once as the myth said of 999 buildings spread over 72 hectares. The vastness of the forbidden city in numbers: 961 metres north/south and 753 metres east/west. Yet so hard to grasp just from description and books. Your first visit will make you go aaawh yawdropping. Sad part of the story is that pretty much all the treasures once in the city are now in the National Palace Museum in Taipei. You can read about this in more detail in many articles.
Here you see the southern Tiananmen entrance with the famous portrait of Mao. Behind you will be the very famous Tiananmen Square.

I have been to forbidden city. How large architectual classic it was. So beautiful architecture of the world. It was impressive to me to see the portrait of Mao in front of the square. Wonderful journey to me. Thank you ~~
