Skyline Shanghai to New York - Camera Rotation

in #ntopaz5 years ago (edited)

Two Mega cities, two competing Maga Powers. Here i portrait the two exciting Cities Shanghai and New York in a different way. Both all so famous for their Skyline yet i want to try it in an unusual way.

Shanghai - The Bund

It is in my nature to experiment, because iam so curious. Since iam a very visual human photography became my passion. Playing with all sorts of Photography Techniques is yet another puzzle to solve since iam also an engineer. Finding inspiration in fellow Light Painters and Photografers i want to give it a try too.

Here you can see my early two experiments with Camera Rotation. They are not very fancy complicated in execution but not yet straight forward rotation. If you look at the first one that is Shanghai its not just yet a simple rotation, but going back and forth to create a swirl at the end. Anyhow have a close look and may be i can inspire you to play with that technique yourself. Something Different.

Hope you find it interesting. If you got question just write me.

Wonderful imagery @gunnarheilmann. Love the way your experimentation with light and movement in photography is taking you into an almost abstract and very fanciful arena.

ilginç ama güzel fotoğraflar, amazing photos :)

Pretty impressive pics

Thanx Lord Nigel ;-)

Hi @gunnarheilmann I want to ask you if you did one single shoot to made this effect or if you did two photos, one rotated and one normal and then you just overlapped them? Thanks bye
p.s. In both cases it's an incredible job!!!

My light painting photos are single exposures. Thats the fascinating puzzle work about it .
So I tested first what exposure I would normally have before overexposing, then do another shot (say 20sec.) and then start rotating the camera (another 10sec.) to finish in total 30sec. That easy 8)

Ahhh so you in first have taken the camera fixed for 20 sec and after you have done a rotation for 10 sec.
But have you rotate it with your hand or with an engine?
It is so perfect, compliment!!
