You’ve been visited by @riverflows on behalf of Natural Medicine!

Yum. what do you make with them? You might want to make a post about that for the challenge below! We tried planting figs but they died in the heat... twelve of them! So upset.

This fortnight, we're having a food as medicine challenge, sponsored by Curie! You can win over 40 Steem in prizes. Check out the details by clicking here!

Thank you for your visit @riverflows! ☺

I mostly eat them raw but if the year is good there are a lot of them, then I share the figs with my family. We have a big tree more than 70 years old & it gives us food almost every year. If there are too many of them, my mother makes jam. Before her my granny was making jam too but now she is 94 & we don't want to bother her. One year I also dried few kilos.

It's strange that your figs died in the heat cause it's a plant very resistant to the heat. I live in the North-West of Croatia on the shore of Adriatic sea & we get more than 35 C in the summer but the figs are growing everywhere! You probably plant them in the wrong time - when there was a drought & you haven't water them?
