[CR] Galaxy colored cuttlefish!

And I will name you squishy!

I originally thought about sketching this cuttlefish to sit atop of a little body, sounds funny right? I image it having a hard time keeping itself balanced when attempting to walk on the sea floor. Or maybe turn it could become my version of Cthulhu. Either way, it’s looking pretty cute as is so who knows where this might take me! I just got back to @caffetto, I had to take a short trip back to my neighborhood to pick up the little guy. Our days schedule got kind of mixed up so I’m trying to give @kommienezuspadt as much free time as I can before he needs to leave for a community meeting. While he’s away I’ll be here hanging out, sketching and finishing the details on squishy.

I started with pencils as usual. As the drawing progressed I only made a few changes, like enlarging the eyes.

Base colors and shading.

Then I began to intrude purples and blues to the mix.

A rich pink color to lift the cool tones.

Cuttlefish have these little spots all over their body. Taking a shortcut I used two different spray can tools.

Then I changed the background to black so the colors appear more vibrant on the cuttlefish.

I went in with another spray can tool, this time one that could produce a finer texture.

Then I added light green highlights around the body and tentacles. I colored in the eyes and decided that this would be my stopping point.
