I'm excited to be starting Nysteem. It is a way for New Yorkers to support each other in the Steemit community and to have our art, photography, and history organized under one tag.

Nysteem is an idea that will hopefully become a movement. Right now it is simply a tag and a graphic specifically for New Yorkers to support each other and share in the Steemit community. My hope and intention is for it to become more than that. I would like to see it lead to real life interactions and events outside of Steemit focused on the Empire State.
New York is rich with so much history and natural wonders. I'm sure there are many talented people from this state on the platform. I want to know who you are, where you are, and what you are sharing. The #nysteem tag organizes New Yorkers together so that we can easily view and support the content we are sharing.

Right now we are just a concept, but all great things must begin somewhere. Nysteem begins here and now with this post. Use the #nysteem tag to share with your fellow New Yorkers and the Steemit community. Write a quick post telling us who you are and where you are in the state, then use the tag to share your art, photos or whatever. My goal is for this to become a support network for New York Steemians. If you would like to use the Nysteem graphic as a footer in your posts that would be awesome!
