Me in the Cosplay 🤡

Good day everyone!
In this post I will tell you a little about how it was that I integrated into the world of Cosplay!
(I apologize if I do a bad English 🙏)
In this time I was very excited about Cosplay and the Otaku culture in general, since I was just getting into it and thanks to this culture I met a lot of cool people, which I had the pleasure of calling friends and to date they are .
In these adventures my sister was my assistant, making her a makeup artist or stylist 🤖.

I started 5 years ago in 2013, my first cosplay was Light Yagami from the anime Death Note. I remember that the first time I used it was at a convention in the capital, at first I planned to wear a wig but as my sister burned it by accident (until that moment we realized that the wig could not withstand high temperatures 😱), so I told my sister to wash my hair, I combed like Light and the result ended up being better than wearing the wig 🤣.

My second cosplay was from Jack Skellington, I was wearing it on Halloween 2013. I sent for the costume, I ordered the wig online and my sister helped me put the makeup on my face.
I remember that thanks to this cosplay many of the Otaku community of the state began to know me (because at that time nobody had made that character).
In the end it was always a martyrdom to remove all the makeup from the face 😖.

This was the last cosplay I did in 2013, it was the character Gir from the cartoon Invasor zim, I used it at a state convention in December. Unlike the other cosplays I had done, in this I had to innovate a design for the cosplay that would adapt the cartoon character to a more humanized version, but without losing the iconic of it. In the end it was excellent, I loved the result and that is why I love this cosplay very much 👻.

This was the first cosplay with which I decided to participate in a cosplay contest, the character was Edward Elric from the anime Full Metal Alchemist. I did it and participated with a friend, who cosplayed Roy Mustang from the same anime. To participate we did '' performance '' (presentation acted as the characters to represent, interpreting some scene of the anime). We had a lot of fun doing and practicing the performance, even though we did not win anything in the contest, making new friends and having a lot of fun in the competition made us feel winners.
By the way, it was also in this cosplay when I first made a prop, which was the automail (the robotic arm that has the character), I did it based on a glove, fomi, spray paint and silver buttons, I remember with nostalgia to work in while I listen to the songs of the anime 🎶.

This was the 2nd and last cosplay of 2014, I really did not do it with the intention of making the character as such, I wanted to get creative and change to my taste the clothing of the character including accessories such as a katana, a gun (obviously toy 🔫) , chains, gloves and leather jacket. The character is Kaneki from the Tokyo Ghoul anime, you could say I made a Yakuza version of the character 🗡️.

The only cosplay I did in 2015, at that time had all the excitement for the new chapter of the saga of starwars, episode 7 was coming, and therefore I wanted to cosplay one of my favorite characters from the original trilogy, Han Solo!
It was nice to go back to using a cosplay with my real hair, and yes, many people in the convention made me the joke of asking me: solo, solo, why so solo?. At first it made me laugh, and then I tired of hearing the same joke 😒.

What a story I have with this cosplay, I will summarize a lot of what happened and the full story I will tell later in a future post 👽.
Seiya of the anime The knights of zodiac (saint seiya), was my only cosplay in 2016. It was the first time I made a complete armor and set aside a stage for the performance.
Despite being the first time to make such an ambitious cosplay, had excellent results, I loved how it looked when I put it on. Regrettably, it was badly treated at the convention in which I used it.
However, all the experience I received when doing it was immense and very dear, there I realized that I raised the level by much in the creation of props and armors. I still see the photos of the process of the armor and scenery (which I will publish in future posts), and I am surprised by the creativity (and luck) that I had to do all that before the convention 😎.

Character Link of the videogame The Legend of zelda Breath of the Wild, my only cosplay of 2017. Like the cosplay of seiya, I saw myself in the challenge of using a lot of ingenuity in the creation of the props.
Personally, the props I made for this cosplay were the ones that I loved the most in the final result, and they are the only props that I have done that have remained intact after several conventions in which I have used them with the cosplay 💣.

Character 2-D of the virtual band Gorillaz, at the moment the only cosplay I've done this year.
Unlike the other cosplays I've done, in this the challenge and the key point, was the makeup for characterization, which I do practicing my skills as a scenic makeup artist. I will not go into much detail because in a next post I will return to the creation of this characterization (especially makeup).
