To OCDB users
Due to the fluctuations of Steem price and SBD we have noticed that some rewards have not been returning the supposed 10% ROI on @ocdb bids. After discussing it with the devs we're recommending that users buying @ocdb votes instead power up their posts 100% which should again guarantee a ~10% profit.
To make up for this we'll be trying to add some curation on the posts with our stake, this will be done manually though and we won't be able to cover all posts and it is unclear for how long. Hoping the crypto market will stabilize soon.
We are unsure how it is affecting other bid bots but we noticed this from the @ocdbfund account which does not get a lot of extra votes and makes it easy to check the returns of the bids. We are also not 100% sure on the math behind this and why it is causing such massive fluctuations, we come to learn that anything is possible in the crypto world, though. :P
We apologize for the inconvenience and hope Steemians continue to use @ocdb and/or delegate to it for one of the best returns of a non-profit whitelisted distribution bot. :)

At least you are trying to help the ocdb users by adding some mannual curation, which is great. No one else does that.
I had one question @acidyo, if any white listed author buy ocdb votes on his/her posts, is it checked manually for quality? And if yes, then do you vote the posts other than ocdb vote? As I have seen dome posts which got vote from ocdb also got curated by you or any other ocd members. I m just curious to know. 😅

We do check on them mainly for abuse/plagiarism/low quality but thankfully since most authors have been curated in the past there has not been much of that. If we happen to curate it may be of personal liking (prior to this announcement that is).
