Daily Vlog: Discovering @littledrummerboy's New Ability

It's actually really easy for your to identify if I plan a video recording or not, Hahaha. If it's an impromptu one, you may see it recorded in portrait instead of a landscape mode because that's my default in taking pictures and videos.

So yeah, this was unplanned because it happened almost like the first thing in theorning when I was just awake. @littledrummerboy asked me for some pens and wanted to draw, but he grabbed this "My First Book of ABC" and wanted to trace the alphabets. I bought this for him some time back because of the Mickey and Minnie Mouse characters which he is quite fond of and it has stickers inside.

Before this, he does show interest in drawing and water colouring but not really into reading or writing yet, so I let him just play as much as he wanted. Yesterday, he was doing a maze book in the car with @fitinfun and he was very much able to do it. Okay, that was to my surprise too!

My husband said, it's almost like he woke up with new abilities, Hahaha! What a way to put it. I think all children has an innate ability to learn, whether it is about music, speaking, words, cycling, swimming, washing dishes or anything. It is a pleasure for them, just so naturally!

Recently he told us about the chandeliers, and where is our chandelier. All his big words are shocking me but they made me laugh. Some of my friends have been asking me to school him, but perhaps we are keeping him in to just enjoy learning anything at anytime he wants. In his process of learning, he asks me things like, "How to do this, Mummy?" and "Can you help me, Mummy?" I offer help to him too that when he needs help, all he needs to do is ask, to let him know that he can receive help in the midst of trying it out too.

Honestly before I became a mom, I never thought I can stay at home because I so like to be on the go and be running outside. It was something hard for me to grasp because I grew up with a working mom too so I thought staying at home maybe boring and mundane. I have resigned from the corporate for quite some years and then I was with an NGO for a while. But now, I'm so happy to be staying home with @littledrummerboy to witness his growth and progress because he wakes up to be very different every day. It's almost like he grows into his abilities by sleeping, hahhaha. Right now, he is doing some organizing with his things. I'm so inspired by him.
