(228/365) Orchids by the road side in Bangkok, กล้วยไม้ริมถนนในกรุงเทพฯ

I was in a traffic jam and I noticed beautiful orchids and fern by the road side in front of s car repair shop. This was amazing to me! Someone had put a lot of care and attention to plant these orchids and fern. If everyone shop by the road began to grow plants with flowers, this road would soon become a tourist attraction!

รถติดมาก และไฟจราจรก็ไม่เป็นไปตามความต้องการ มองไปทางริมถนน ต้องแปลกใจมากกับกล้วยไม้ช่อใหญ่และเฟิรน์ข้าหลวงที่สวยมากที่หน้าอู่ซ่อมรถยนต์ ไม่น่าเชื่อว่าจะมีคนใส่ใจชอบปลูกต้นไม้ดอกไม้ขนาดนี้ ถ้าทุกบ้านปลูกไม้ดอกและต้นไม้แบบนี้กันทุกบ้านบนถนนนี้ อีกไม่นานที่นี่จะกลายเป็นแหล่งท่องเที่ยวที่คนอยากมาเดินเล่นถ่ายรูปอย่างแน่นอน

(229/365) Working on the lamp post, ทำงานติดตั้งเสาไฟฟ้า

Arriving in Nongkhai early in the morning, I would ask the driver to take me along the river side. There is a lot of work going on along the road. The city has this project of building extension for walking promenade and more parking space by the road. This morning I see workers installing new lamp posts by the river. They obviously are not afraid of height nor heat! I really respect these people who make the Thai economy goes round!! I hope they will never be replaced by robots.

รถไฟมาถึงสถานีแต่เช้า เราชอบให้คนขับรถพาไปเส้นริมโขง เราจะได้ดูวิวและรู้ว่าจีนปล่อยน้ำจากเขื่อนหรือไม่. ช่วงนี้มีการก่อสร้างขยายถนนคนเดินลงไปในแม่น้ำ และมีการเพิ่มที่จอดรถอีกด้วย คนงานเริ่มทำงานแต่เช้า เขาพยายามเร่งงานกันมาก หลายคนกำลังติดตั้งโคมไฟพญานาคกัน เราเคารพในความสามารถของเขามาก ทุกคนต้องมาเรียนรู้งานกันจาก การลงมือทำงาน คนเหล่านี้เป็นคนที่ช่วยขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจในระดับรากหญ้า เขาไม่กลัวความสูงและแสงแดดที่แผดเผา เราหวังว่าเขาคงไม่ถูกทดแทนด้วยหุ่นยนต์ในอนาคต

(230/365) On the way to my garden home, ทางไปบ้านสวน

This summer all the trees are in bloom at
About the same time making the way side looking very lively and beautiful. Along this road, we can still see many big old trees as the land is still left abandoned to nature’s way. Last year many big trees were fell for building houses and new resorts. The slow down in the economy has its own blessing. Locals cannot sell their land at the expected high prices, so some decide to wait. But those who were burdened by debts had to sell their land at the lower price. There’s something wrong with economic development theories! Poor and middle class people are getting poorer! I guess the theorists did work for certain class of people and fooled us all!

หน้าร้อนปีนี้ต้นไม้พร้อมใจกันออกเอกสะพรั่ง. ทำให้ถนนสวยมากเต็มไปด้วยดอกไม้ ทั้งสีเหลืองสีม่วงและสีชมพู. ถนนที่ต้องผ่านยังมีต้นไม้ใหญ่ๆเหล่ออยู่มาก แต่ปีก่อนมีการตัดต้นไม้เพื่อสร้างบ้าน และโรงแรม สมัยก่อนเหมือนมีป่าสองข้างทาง ผลพลอยได้จากเศรษฐกิจที่ช้าลงคือ การขายที่ดินก็ลดลง คนที่ขายคือคนที่มีหนี้สิน จึงจำเป็นต้องขายถูกลงในเวลานี้ คนอื่นถือที่ดินไว้รอเวลาที่ราคาเป็นขาขึ้นมากๆ.

ตำราและทฤษฎีเศรษฐศาสตร์ คงถูกสร้างขึ้นเพื่อให้ประโยชน์แก่คนบางกลุ่ม แนวความคิดในการพัฒนาทำให้คนจนและ คนชั้นกลางยิ่งจนลงทุกวัน ทางออกของความอับจนไม่ใช่การไล่ล่าตามกิเลสและวัตถุนิยม ทางรอดย่อมอยู่กับของจริงคือ ปัจจัยสี่และเศรษฐกิจพอเพียง และทฤษฎีใหม่นั่นเอง
