1. Daniela Silivaș

Daniela Silivaș is a Romanian former artistic gymnast who won as many as 8 medals (3 gold, 2 silver and a bronze) in 1988 Seoul Olympics as a 16 year old.

In doing so, she holds the record of being the only gymnast, male or female to win a medal in every event at 1988 Olympics gymnastics categories earning 7 perfect 10 scores.

Her other feats include winning 7 golds, 2 silvers and a bronze in World Championships, 5 golds, 3 silver and 2 bronze in European Championships.

In 2002, she was inducted into International Gymnastics Hall of Fame and she was the youngest to be inducted and she still holds that record.

2. Manfred Eigen

Manfred Eigen is a German biophysical chemist who mainly worked on fast reactions of chemicals.

He started his career as a professor and later as director of Max Planck Institut for Spectroscopy.

He currently works as a member of the Board of Sponsors of The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists.

For his research on fast reactions of chemicals, he along with Ronald George Wreyford Norrish and George Porter were awarded with Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1967.

He was selected as Foreign Member of Royal Society of London 1973.

He is one of the founding members of World Cultural Council.

3. Gopal Krishna Gokhale

Gopal Krishna Gokhale was an social and political leader during the India's independence movement against British.

He was one of the senior leaders of Indian National Congress and founder of Servants of India Society.

He was among the first generations of Indians to receive a university education.

He was a mentor to Mahatma Gandhi during his early years in South Africa as well as when they returned to India to be part of freedom fight.

4. Charles Simic

Charles Simic is a Serbian-American poet and poetry co-editor of Paris Review literary magazine.

He is a winner of Pulitzer Prize in 1990 for his work The World Doesn't End.

His poetry collections include What the Grass Says, Charon's Cosmology, They Forget at Night, Pyramids and Sphinxes, Nine Poems.

He was appointed as fifteenth Poet Laureate Consultant in Poetry to the Library of Congress in 2007.

5. Mallika Sarabhai

Mallika Sarabhai is an Indian activist and classical dancer and is daughter of Indian space scientist Vikram Sarabhai.

She is an accomplished Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam dancer.

For her service to art and activism, she has been honoured by Government of India with India's third highest civilian award Padma Bhushan.
