Me complazco en presentar ante cada uno de ustedes mi participación para esta semana aquí en openmic/ I am pleased to present to each of you my participation for this week here at openmic.
Antes les llamaban nazarenos, después cristianos
Hoy no saben ya cómo llamar a cada grupo,
hay tantos....
Antes al mirarles se decían: ¡Ved cómo se aman!,
hoy al contemplarles se repiten:
¡Ved cómo se separan!.
¿Quién sabrá quien de ellos tiene la verdad?
Cómo ha conseguido el enemigo robarnos el terreno,
hemos comenzado a hacer murallas
olvidando lo primero.
Que no hay cristianismo verdadero detrás de una careta,
si no reflejamos a Jesús, perdemos nuestra meta.
Que él que sirve a los demás es el mayor,
que el sermón del monte aún está en vigor,
que aún existe el buen ejemplo
y la humildad de corazón
y que no hay vida ni hay iglesia si no hay perdón.
Ojalá el Maestro pueda decir como dijera hace años:
'No lloréis, sólo duerme, no está muerta'.
¿Qué te pasa, iglesia amada, que no reaccionas,
sólo a veces te emocionas, y no acabas de cambiar?
Antes tenían todo en común y oraban en la noche.
Hoy compiten por saber quién tiene
mejor casa y mejor coche.
Antes morían abrazados en la arena del circo romano,
hoy discuten si al orar hay que alzar o no las manos.
Unos creen en profecías y otros no,
unos predican la fe y otros el amor,
uno habla en lenguas y otro presume de virtud
y el mundo muere, muere, muere sin ver la luz.
Ojala el Maestro pueda decir como dijera hace años:
'No lloréis, sólo duerme, no está muerta'.
¿Qué te pasa, iglesia amada, que no reaccionas,
sólo a veces te emocionas y no acabas de cambiar?
Jesús se levantó de la muerte,
¿y acaso a ti no habrá quién te despierte?

They used to be called Nazarenes, then Christians.
Today they no longer know what to call each group,
