Each week I donate 25 Steem to @luzcypher for the Open Mic Contest rewards. I've also been hosting Steemit Musicians on Msp-Waves with @swelker101 for almost a year which highlights and awards Open Mic musicians with 30 Steem each week.
So, I can't actually make an official Open Mic submission anymore.
But I wanted to do this unofficial one just for fun. Plus, I haven't performed for Open Mic since around week 45, which is crazy.

This song was a request by one of my music teachers to create a piece with odd measured phrasing as opposed to even phrasing.
Common phrasing would be an even amount of measures, like 2 measure or 4 measure phrases.
So, I created this piece with 3 measure phrasing in the A section. The B section moves to standard 4 measure phrasing, then returns to the 3 measure phrasing A section.
There was also something in the exercise that involved the phrasing of the melody over the harmonic structure, but I can't remember what it was....or what I did exactly.
Perhaps my musical genius Discord son, @pechichemena can figure it out......
