Opera released a new version of its popular browser with a built-in wallet portfolio.

The company says it's "a new version of the Opera for Android browser ... that combines an easy-to-use wallet portfolio that supports the Ethereum Web3 API standard," CoinDesk reports.

The browser is currently in beta and the company invites selected users to test the new software.

The embedded wallet portlet means that users will not have to open a different browser or download a separate app in order to be able to pay, send and receive virtual currencies.

Thanks to Opera, they will be able to do this directly through the browser designed for mobile devices that rely on the Android operating system.

The news gives a new horizon to all developers of decentralized applications, as Opera users can more easily and efficiently interact with applications developed on the Ethernet network.

"We believe that today's web will be the interface of the centralized network of tomorrow." Becoming the first major browser, open to Web 3.0, we want to contribute by making the Internet more accessible to the future, "said Charles Hamel, Head of Opera Crypto.

The term Web 3.0 is a reference to the Decentralized Internet vision based on Eterium's block technology that helps users connect to a variety of decentralized applications and peer-2-peer networks.

The latest news about Opera comes after the company announced earlier this year that its browser has built-in protection against viruses digesting virtual currencies through foreign power.

This option is available for users of Android-based mobile devices.
