Elections 2018 - The Establishment Fight Back

When the results of the presidential elections were revealed, a lot of us hailed what we felt was the beginning of an anti establishment revolution. With the mainstream shell-shocked and in disbelief, the victors stayed in a state of euphoria perhaps for too long. Precious time was wasted on what could have been a real consolidatory period for an anti establishment movement.

It didn't take long for the establishment to recorver and begin the fight back. With its most powerful tool, the media at its beck and call, we're experiencing what I call an information war of epic proportions. Perhaps annoyed or irritated by the audacity of an independent audience, extra effort has been put into media manipulation to fulfill their agenda.

They're using all the tricks in the book, and more. Propaganda, disinformation, information bias and what I like to call 'divide and conquer', where disinformation is deliberately propagated to divide alternative groups. Their goal is quite simple really - A quick power grab, and return to the establishment.

It may seem surprising but I think they're winning. If the ultimate goal is power, they're well on the way. Disinformation and half truths played a role in the 'minor'electoral battles of last year, expect it to double this year.

This year represents the pivotal measurement of how far we've come, and where we're most likely headed in the information war. It's not a Republican, Democrat or Libertarian issue. If half truths and fake news is allowed to suceed it most likely won't get any better.
