How fast are we expecting to flatten the COVID19 curve in Jamaica?

A friend sends me the above fb video link and after watching it I decided to come up with what I think could help us to flatten the curve here in Jamaica.
The government here have been lauded for doing a good job so far. These praises come from even international bodies. That is good enough for the Gov. to take some comfort and beat their chest in a sense of gratitude. Parliament was yesterday and I could hear the confidence in his tone (Prime Minister) as he talked about how the government was handling the COVID19 PANDEMIC.

However, I think there have been some miss steps. Some of them is what you call judgement calls. Some I see weakness and failure to use the examples and data that are available for all to see. I think one of the hardest decision to make by any democratic government is to make decisions that you know are going to hurt the economy and hurt your people any which way.

On the economic and social side, with every negative there are opportunities… Looking at global oil price it has been down significantly. The impact for use is a big drop in the cost of oil to the economy. There will be significant drop in our import saving us hundreds of million and provide an opportunity to significantly raise our domestic production. We could now get the farmers to sign production agreements with the hotels as it is going to take a while for the supply chain to come back after COVID19 ran its course. The hotels could assist the farmers with tech to get the quality they want. Some years ago, at a Negril Chamber of Commerce meeting the Spanish Ambassador to Jamaica promise just that.

We could improve our public transportation so that there is no need to have so much traffic on our roads. This would further reduce our oil and parts bills.
In the area of Cannabis I hear the Chinese are doing a lot of research in the medical fields. The supplying of that market with Jamaican Cannabis would be a game changer. I am seeing the forging of long term partnership.

We could take the opportunity to get some tourist from China since they seem like they are going to be the first to be fully clear. We would not need a lot of them to easily full up our available rooms.
To fully take advantage of the opportunities we have to flatten the curve as quickly as possible…

Below is what I came up with to flatten the opportunity curve. We could see Chinese on these beach bed soon

Things just got even more intense. I can't understand how we have more cases here and no shutdown. I wonder if things suddenly gonna explode over here... they aren't testing.
