The Over 20 Club Nomination Post - August 4, 2018

I am very pleased to have been nominated for the Over20 Club and I have no idea what else to do beyond this point.

After revisited the nomination post, then only I found the guidelines. Here I am to show my appreciation to the nomination, and also to do my bit to submit my favorite freewrite

My Day 1 freewrite as my first favorite freewrite post

Day 1 Prompt : Banana - 200 day freewrite contest prize 25sbd and a chance to win sbi

This is my first attempt to take part in the Freewirtehousecontest and also my first time-bound writing skill. I like this p[articular post due to this first entry. And this post included a selfie photo for which, my photographer friend told me it is a almost a perfect shot for a non photographer or armature.

This freewite post is about a prompt given as "Banana". Since it was my first attempt to write an article in 5 minutes, I was stuck for a while for what do I write about banana? While figuring out what to write when I open my house gate wanted to go for breakfast. Certainly, an idea strike me when I saw the banana tree planted opposite my house. I went near the plant and took a selfie of me and the banana tree. To be frank, I was not used to do selfie but the photo ended up quite a nice picture.

Yes, I have the selfie and the idea, but what do I need to write? This question just go around my head even when I was having my breakfast. Then idea came in when I passed by a small store that hang up several bunches of banana. And I had this tag line to start my freewrite

**Most of you eat banana, but how many of you have seen or get a chance to selfish a banana plant? **

Day 8 Prompt: Home Alone - 200 day selfie freewrite contest

The reason for me to pick this post as one of my favorite freewrite is that I am home alone most of the day time. It is because I am a retiree and has no day job. I spend most of time at home in front of the computer for Steemit. During this period of steemit, I spend almost 8-10 hours on steemit either write article or research into it.

The prompt strike me that I am indeed the prompt: Home Alone, it suits me well. While writing this post, it reminded me that I must stay healthy as I am alone at home.

My third pick and also my 1st freewite while I was abroad in China

Day 30 Prompt: Describe the room you live in

I picked this post as one of my favorite freewrite for a simple but memorable reasons.

1. I survived in the freewrite submission for the last 30 days
2. I was abroad in China on the first day arrival
3. I was concerned how to continue the freewrite daily while in china
4. And I read the prompt : describe the room you live in after I checked in the hotel after 2 hours

What a coincidence for today's Prompt : describe the room you live in

As I have announced, I will travel to Jiangxi province to attend a qigong Chinese medicine research university. In fact, I just arrived 2 hours ago after I took a transit local flight from Shanghai Pudong international airport to Nanchang (南昌）, where the Jiangxi Qigong Medicines research university is located.

Day 32 Prompt: Miami 200 day selfie freewrite contest

I picked this post because it has taught me a lesson. Please hear me out.

I have written this freewrite in the cafeteria of the Jiangxi TCM University as you can see from the background. I have completed the post and published it to steemit.com. I also commented in @freewritehouse announcement post. BUT I did not include the link in the comment i have made. Despite reminded from @freewritehouse, which I have missed to read because I was in the training class.

It ended up this was my last freewrite and also my DISQUALIFICATION post.

Conclusions

In conclusion, I have no regret to have participated in the freewrite from @freewritehouse for the follow reasons:-

• It used a daily prompt from @mariannewest
• It included a selfie which stimulate my thinking cell for creativity
• @freewritehouse came around to each of my entry and upvoted it
• @freewritehouse managed all the entries very well ( include disqualified my for not followed the rules )

Although I was not able to complete the journey, I learn many new things along the way. I was very pleased to get supports from fellow steemians who were in the "freewritehousecontest" challenge and we support and help each others posts.

This post is in response to Over20Club Nomination by @freewritehouse and I wish this nature of contest continue especially during this low steem price period.
