A Small Diversion: My First Post via PalNet + AirDrop!steemCreated with Sketch.

in #pal5 years ago

Well, I am creating my first post via the new PalNet site... which — as far as I can tell — mostly works as a "skin" on top regular Steem posts.

I'm not normally a big fan of so-called "airdrops" because most of the time they seem to end up being pretty much worthless... color me cynical, but an airdrop seems mostly to serve as a way to get tokens into the hands of people for FREE... people who would never actually hold those tokens, if they actually had to pay for them.

Talk about "dilution of value!"

Maybe This is Different...?

I suppose I have hopes that PalNet is a little different in that this is a long-term tested and true Steem community with a long history of helping people build their blogs... going all the way back to the early days when it was just "Steemit."

The "Peace-Abundance-Liberty" community is also one of the largest we have, and it seems they place a higher value on content actually having some value.

This is a merely new development in the history of an organization that has already proven itself to provide value.

And that seems "different," to me... in this fast flowing world where you seldom know whether the next great offer is actually going to be an exit scam...

So yes, there's not just a new front end to post from, there's also an airdrop of tokens, which you can claim through your Steem-Engine wallet.

If you don't have a Steem-Engine account yet, you should probably get one, as it will most likely be where most present and future Steem based tokens will trade, including the by now (in)famous "SMTs."

Well, that's all for now... busy times continue, around here!

Have you claimed your PAL airdrop tokens? Are you familiar with PalNet? Comments, feedback and other interaction is invited and welcomed! Because — after all — SOCIAL content is about interacting, right? Leave a comment-- share your experiences-- be part of the conversation!

Seemed like a better option than ninja mining and hording them for ourselves. :)

Yeah, the whole "ninja mining" gig still rubs me the wrong way... at least as it flies in the face of the intent of the original Steem whitepaper.

Nice seems everyone joining them these days like it is a cult! Hoping to look into it more when I have a real post to make.

I just remember PAL being one of the first Discord channels relating to building your presence on Steemit... and they predated a lot of the bot mania and other nonsense. It's one of the very few I am actually willing to throw in with...
