ছবির এই মানুষের নাম ফাদী আবু সালেহ।
উনার দুই পা ছিল না, ইসরাইলী সেনাবাহিনীর সাথে যুদ্ধ করবার জন্য উনার হাতে কোন আধুনিক সমরাস্ত্র ছিল না।
উনার সম্বল ছিল একটি হুইল চেয়ার, হাতে একটি গুলতি এবং বুকের ভিতরে অধম্য সাহস।

আর সেই সাহসের জোরেই আজ যখন ৭০ তম আল নাকবা দিবস উপলক্ষে ফিলিস্তিনিরা তাদের পিতৃ পুরুষের হারানো ভুমি ফিরে পাওয়ার দাবীতে ইসরাইল সীমান্তে পদযাত্রা এবং বিক্ষোভ মিছিল করছিল, তখন হুইল চেয়ারে করে সেই যাত্রায় শরীক হয়ে যান ২০১৪ সালে ইসরাইলের সাথে যুদ্ধে দুই পা হারানো অদম্য আবু সালেহ।

আবু সালেহ সহ ফিলিস্তিনিদের মিছিল ইসরাইলের বর্ডারের কাছাকাছি আসামাত্র সেই মিছিলে নির্বিচারে গুলি করে এবং গ্যাস বোমা হামলা করে ইসরাইলী সেনাবাহিনী। আর তাতে এই অদম্য সাহসী আবু সালেহ সহ এখন পর্যন্ত নিহতের সংখ্যা ৫২ জন এবং আহতের সংখ্যা ২৪০০ জনের অধিক।

ফিলিস্তিনিদের সাহসিকতা নিয়ে একটি প্রবাদ আছে।
"পৃথিবীতে সব মায়েরা সন্তান জন্ম দেন,
আর ফিলিস্তিনি মায়েরা জন্ম দেন একেকজন জানবাজ মুজাহিদ!"

এই প্রবাদটি যে শতভাগ সত্য তাঁর প্রমান দেয়ার জন্যই হয়তো আবু সালেহ'রা ফিরে ফিরে আসে। এক হাতে গুলতিতে আর অন্য হাত হুইল চেয়ারের হুইলে রেখে হাজির হয়ে যায় শত্রুর বন্দুকের নলের মুখে।
আর,আমাদের কে চোখে আঙ্গুল দিয়ে শিক্ষা দিয়ে যায়।

দেশপ্রেম এবং ঈমানী শক্তি মজবুত হলে একজন অচল মানুষ সচল হয়ে যায়।

Israeli force is using excessive force, including explosive bullets and live ammunition, in addition to teargas.

Doctors Without Borders said "The exit wounds are fist-size. Bone is pulverized into dust. This is the reality for half of the injured patients."

Israels goal is to cripple the surviving Palestinians for life.
