Lying is tough on the brain - Isn't honesty the best policy?

We have all been there. We've all been in situations where it was so difficult to say the truth and we lied. Lying is becoming more common in today's world. Whereas many people lie for some known reasons, there are some that have lied so much that they even lie for no reasons. Some common reasons for lying includes to escape punishment. Others lie to make some gains, to deceive and commit fraud, etc. Whatever the reasons are, people lie a lot today. Lying has even inflitrated into established systems today. Top executives lie, doctors lie, people in politics lie, lawyers say the truth - hahahaha, you know what I mean. But then, I read something recently and I came to learn that lying is really a difficult thing for the brain than telling the truth. Here is the reason in a sentence:

Yes, for you to lie, you must first figure out the truth. The article explained that to say the truth is a pretty straight-forward stuff for the brain. It requires little thinking and mental effort to say the truth. It is almost sponteneous because you are saying it the way it was. So the brain has little work to do when say the truth. But to lie, its a different ball game

Like I said before and according to the article, to lie you must know the truth. So the brain will first figure out the truth and establish it. Then, the brain needs to come up with different situations that could trade the truth. It has to come up with many. Then from the pool of false situtaions that look like the truth, the brain will analyze each one and look at factors that makes it resemble the truth or not. If there are more things that look like the truth in the selected situation, the brain will recommend it for the lie. But if there are more things that prove it a real lie, the brain will discard it and go to the next option. That is how the brain will continue to analyze each possible situation that could make the lie to to look like the truth. After all these processes, the brain will recommend the best lie that closely looks like the truth. Thats not all.

The brain will also need to help you say the lie in a way that it looks like the truth. Saying the truth comes natural with confidence. There are no negative things in you mind like fear ad anxiety. But to lie, you are already apprehensive. SO the brain needs to train your mind and body to build artificial confidence. Its another tough work, but it has to be done. This is because one way to discover a lie is through the presentation. Trained detectives often see a lie by the way the person talks. So that is why the brain needs to stress on presenting the lie. So in addition to cooking up the lie, it has to be presented like the truth. These are really tough work on the brain.

So, now you have seen that for the brain, its really stressful to lie. The mental stress is something you do not need to put your brain through. Personally, I believe that its better to channel that effort towards building the courage to face consequences of saying the truth. It trains you to be a better person. Someone that is resilient and tough enough to face the realitiy on ground. You are better able to live up to any situation you found yourself in if you say the truth.
So. i strongly believe the saying the truth is better than lying. The truth will always prevail. So i ask this.....
