I saw one of those B-movie SciFi flicks a long time ago – so long I cannot possible dredge up the name of it – where the heroes were caught in "fluid space." This piece puts me strongly in mind of those scenes in the movie.

Yup, everything is fluid about this. (Aren't they all?) So calling it "fluid space" is a pretty good name :)
