RE: Yellow Vests: My opinion

No @djennyfloro ...

"Also, they may speak of police violence, which is a hot topic, but did they speak of the rioters' violence? The shops who have been ravaged leaving working people and shop owners without a job? The shops who lost money because they are so unstructured that the shops had to close for fear of their safety?"

... as in your country, so it is here in America. The "press" conveniently fails to mention this ... In certain places here it is even worse, when police have actually been ordered to "stand down" and not engage the rioters. Implies political uhhh ... "support" from those in power ...

"Sometimes it's tiring even trying to follow what they'll say next, think next. But a state that sees employers as the enemies of workers isn't deemed to be doing well economically speaking. If you see every success with jealous eyes, and every business owner as a slaver, then where does the country get its wealth and economy from? Well: nowhere."

Amen!

Thanks for your comment, I appreciate that you took the time to read my post.

The press seems to have forgotten about objectivity, and now is tainted by political interest, it's more and more obvious now, and it's disappointing in many ways.

Yes @djennyfloro ...

"The press seems to have forgotten about objectivity ..."

... but very unlikely it is anything but intentional. Leading to an obvious question - "To what end do they do this? What do they hope to accomplish?"

I don't think it's about what they intend to accomplish... more... you know... about what they know we want.

I think that they threw their objective out the window when they realized that all the people wants (in majority) is drama, spectacular, and someone to blame for every little thing. It's just so much more self-satisfactory for people to think that things don't go well because of X or Y doing sh*t around than because they have, themselves, not done the right thing.

Just take the number of people who don't go to vote, and still complain about the way things are run in the country. If they looked at themselves and asked themselves how the hell it has come to this point wouldn't they realize that they could change a lot of things just by reaching the mayor of their town or making some research about the people they vote for?

Have you noticed that campaigns for presidency / whatever political is no longer about what they will do for the country, but about what the other candidate do wrong? It's not just the journalists who notice people's dumbness in that aspect, but even the politicians do. People won't vote for a good program, they'll vote for the program that makes them feels good by rejecting the fault on someone else.

When something in town goes bad, why don't people just do a paper, even if badly written, but at least with their ideas on how it could be better? It may, or may not, reach the mayor, but as someone who has ACTED instead of whining, they'd at least be entitled to say that it's all the fault of those who don't do a thing.

Press has abandoned its duty, sells what people buy, and it's both their fault for not upholding the standards and our fault for not giving them the attention that truth needs to survive.

Quickly replying to this @djennyfloro, to let you know my lack of response was not due to no interest, but the visit of our youngest grandson ... He is (understatement ...) a handful! 😊

While not promising (many time constraints ...), I hope to comment more at some point, but did at least ensure you had my full support for your efforts in putting down in writing what you did.

Family is the most important :) Thank you for letting me know about it. I hope you have fun with the little devil!

I've posted the last bit of information that I wanted to share about the overall project: Future Media Vision. When the little one is back to his parents, and you have the time, go take a look if you want :)
