Here's How You Get MORE Conspiracy Theory
The FBI recently released a report on "conspiracy theory", FBI Bulletin: Anti-Government, Fringe Political Conspiracy Theories Likely Motivate Domestic Extremists to Commit Criminal, Violent Activity .
A detailed walkthrough of the idiocy of this report is put on hold for the moment, but I will summarize it's findings
it's saying that conspiracy theorists are becoming more dangerous because they've uncovered real conspiracies.

I have a copy of the El Paso shooters manifesto.
I was looking for the SOURCE of the manifesto...some 4chan posters noted that the manifesto was not only posted on 8chan, but was timestamped AFTER the shooter was taken into custody
conveniently, 8chan has been taken offline
due to how easy it is to fake a social media presence (especially considering that the big tech companies have been proven to censor and even edit content that contradicts The Narrative), I can't give full credence to the validity of media claims.
If the algorithm decides based on how many people use the hashtag then everyone would have to be making the exact same typo. Seems a tad unlikely. This instead confirms that they are manually entering “trending” hashtags and the person doing it fucked up.
Nor, can I consider the security community's track record in these cases (Orlando, San Bernandino, Boston bombing, Mandalay Bay, just off the top of my head) to generate any trust in thier credibility
And with the memory holing of source documentation (manifestos, ORIGINATION of manifestos), social media accounts, LE material, witness accounts, and even conspiracy theory...there is no way to know what is happening without trusting people who have already proven they can not be trusted

- big tech social media
- the security community
If these people don't want conspiracy theory bandied about, then they need to put up the full facts, all the facts, and quit lying about things

The thing i hate about conspiracy theories is that too many of the (non-way out there) ones have TOO much truth in them.

theyll never put an end to conspiracy theory the way they go about it
every time they lie about something easily proven, they open up the floor for more extreme interpretations
maybe that's their goal, to discredit all conspiracy theory
but again, i'm not seeing that happen. I think more people are turning to CT bc the powers that be cant provide provide reasonable explanations for the bad things that happen, and wont provide basic security

even though I am not curating any more, I would still say that subject falls within the area of #informationwar
IW is reliant on critical thinking
critical thinking is reliant on an understanding of human biases in perception
any subject that discusses how our perceptions are molded is fair game IMHO
and especially when there is a mal actor involved in that process!
