Both Ethereum and EOS have experienced an increased number of users on their networks. Decentralized Application (dApps) usage reached an all-time high of more than 66,000 active users on October 9.

The cryptocurrency analyst Kevin Rooke, published a Tweet in which he shows that there were more than 51,000 users on EOS and 15,000 on Ethereum. Additionally, he mentioned that 45,000 of these users were using applications related to gambling activities.

According to dAppRadar, the majority of the traffic is related to EOS and gambling games such as BetDice or EOSBet. Instead, Ethereum registers an important volume on some decentralized exchanges such as IDEX and ForkDelta.

At the moment of writing, the three most important games on Ethereum were HyperDragons with 546 users in the last 24 hours, Etheremon with 494 users and CryptoKitties, registering 396 users. The collectibles and marketplaces categories registered the lowest number of users on the Ethereum network.

Crypt-Oink, for example, had 41 users in the last 24 hours and Cryptographics had only 7 users. Both of these dApps offer collectibles to their users.

On the EOS network, for example, the Pra CandyBox application registered more than 6,300 users in the last 24 hours. And several dApps on EOS have more than 300 users.

Ethereum is the second most valuable cryptocurrency in the market, while EOS has the fifth place. Ethereum’s market cap is $23 billion dollars and EOS’ has a $5.32 billion dollars market cap.

Rooke is able to show that although we are in a bear market, these two blockchain networks are being used by several users all over the world. In the future, if the market continues to grow and expand, new users will be able to enjoy a wide variety of decentralized applications in both Ethereum and EOS’ platforms.
