Crysis was built to be future proofed, I remember reading the ultra specs back in 2005 and there was literally nothing available to the public at that time to run crysis on ultra, i really wish that more developers would go this route with PC gaming nowadays.
Above all I feel really bad about the financial mismanagements of Crytek. They were an amazing studio. You might also enjoy this:
The only recent game with this much care given was Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain.
Yeah Crytek had the opportunity to really be up there, there really isn't another company that put so much emphasis on graphics and optimization, while it's not everything Crysis 3 is still so amazing to look at, the only game that comes close to it was Rise of the Tomb Raider.
Also yeah I checked that out haha, oh well give it another 5 or 10 years my dude and we'll be in a different era again.
What I'm most hyped at the moment is for Death Stranding. It even seems to be going at single/multiplayer which souls games sort of did and Destiny and Division messed up. You should check out this playlist:
The only problem I have with death stranding is that Iv'e seen zero game play trailers or have a fucking clue about the game, i'll start getting hype when iv'e seen some game play, but it is kojima.
