Boodle fight
Do you know what a boodle fight is? Yes, boodle fight. It is a fun and unique way Filipinos enjoy eating together. In the picture you can see a table prepared for a boodle fight. The food can vary, but usually there will be some seafood, meat, and lots of rice.
This was prepared for a group of about 25 or so. Everyone gathers around the table and using their plastic glove covered hands they dig in and eat. Some people fill a plate and take it to a seat to sit and eat. Others might never leave the table.
So if a Filipino friend invites you to a boodle fight, don’t be scared. Say ‘yes’ and get ready for a great meal.
