My first whiskey review, Laphroaig 10
Lately I've been getting into whiskey mainly because a YouTube channel called The Whisky Vault, it's a lot of fun, and opened my eyes to the world of different tastes in whiskey.
On a recent episode they called for members of the community to share our thoughts and experiences, so this is my take on my newest purchase Laphroaig 10.
Laphroaig 10 is an Islay whiskey famous for being very smokey and peated, which definitely comes out, as I opened the bottle all I could smell was something like bbq with something of an earthy note there and maybe buried deep in there was a hint of green apple trying to come out, but failing.
The taste isn't that much different, its brinny and smokey, but after a few sips the sweetness comes out, very enjoyable, it lingers in the mouth for some time.
