Lies & Confusion: Inflation is bad
Today I was watching a video explaining negative interest rates and I nearly lost it...
The video was well done, clear, concise and explanative, however toward the end of the video the author says:
The Fed is aiming at 2% inflation, which is good, because deflation causes money hording.
Lies & Confusion: Inflation is not good
Please don't believe this "programming". It's lies at worst or misguided advice at best.
But Dwayne, deflation is bad and must be avoided. Therefore its "good" the central banks unanimously inflate our worthless fiat, shrinking away all the value in your savings.
Its "bad" to save for the future: we call that "hording money". #propaganda
Do you see how f'in crazy that is?
In days gone by a person saved for desired purchases, not now. We buy everything we want and more becauee gov't inflates value out of our saving, incentivizing frivolity and undermining prudence and savings.
The only way such a plan can sustain itself, is if we grow our economy every year, forever, by inflating. BUT such waste and gluttony inevitably causes dollar collapse from hyperinflation.
On Steemit, I'm preaching to the choir so that's all I'll say here. I am just pissed that this is the mainstream economics 101: "overspend today and tomorrow will be ok, because... reasons."

Yup. And hopefully one more person today will see the light and start preparing for this ponzi scheme to fail. In that way, each day we get is a blessing, in that it offers time to stack, prepare and equip ourselves.
Ridiculous, but not surprising in this era of Keynesian economics.

Me: Yes.
Grand-kids: "And you guys thought that was sustainable and logical?"
Me: ...yes.
Yup. I just hope kids eventually wake up to the evil of fiat currency

And the worst part is most don't even know it. I have close friends who say talk about annual inflation just like this guy I'm citing, "deflation is bad, therefore inflation is good."
No dude, sustainable economic policy would neither focus on inflation, nor deflation. We would just let the dollar hold value, and remain stable. We could do this by backing with gold, or silver, or bitcoin, and then proceeding to be fiscally responsible, avoiding deficit spending where possible.
Exactly should be no inflation or deflation.
