My greatest upset (and resolution) in accommodation so far...

Upon arriving to our vacation destination, we were pleasantly surprised by how little people were around. Don't get me wrong, there were plenty of people, but far less than a normal holiday resort.

We proceeded into the lobby area of our hotel and found the reception. The lady immediately seemed unwelcoming and a bit stuck up.

We quickly and angrily got told that our room is unavailable and we were going to have to relocate somewhere else due to decreased capacity. This had apparently been known for a few days already but they decided to let us know only when we already arrived on the spot.

Everything would be fine if the other service they had booked us weren't worse off than the previous one. The new room's canalization was totally wrecked - we knew because our toilet smelled like 💩... Other problems quicky arose and we were forced to go and make a deal with the hotel management.

The deal went quickly in our favor when we brought up all the problems we were having. We got a 50% discount off our accomodation for the entire trip.

Overall, they got most of the problems fixed and we are happy with our 50% off higher budget.
