10 things you must know about the Partiko Easter Egg SBD Giveaway

Hello Partiko lovers,

One of our most fun and engaging community event at Partiko is the Easter Egg SBD Giveaway. It has completely revolutionized the way we think about user engagement and community development. So far we've had two wildly successful giveaways and have rewarded 33 SBDs in total. In the future we're continuing to do so and here're the 10 things you must know about it.

What is an easter egg?

In Partiko, an easter egg means a new feature or small change that's unannounced in the update announcement. For example, in the following update announcement:

• Profile page redesign. We hope you will love it!
• Claim rewards. Finally you can claim your rewards on the go!
• Conversational view for nested comments. Browsing conversations has never been so easy.
• Optimized article UI and reduced memory cost. Read more articles than before!
• Easter egg features (including bug fix) for you to discover.

We claimed four major features that are just added to the new version. Therefore, "a new rewards button on the profile page" is not an easter egg, because "claim rewards" is already included in the update announcement. An easter egg would be something like "there is a horizontal loading animation on the article page, this did not exist in the previous version of Partiko".

How do I participate in an easter egg giveaway?

Every time an easter egg giveaway starts, we will make a post about it (example). The post will include all the non-easter-egg new features, the starting and ending time of the easter egg giveaway, the number of easter eggs in total, and the reward. When you found an easter egg, all you have to do is to leave a comment down the post.

What does the reward look like?

Different easter eggs have different rewards. The more difficult to find, the higher the reward is. The details will be announced the the easter egg giveaway announcement posts. Just for your reference, in the past, the highest reward for a single easter egg is 8 SBD.

How many easter eggs can I guess?

We limit the number of submissions to 3 easter eggs, therefore your 4th comment under the easter egg giveaway announcement post will be ignored. Be careful we you submit!

How do I know when an easter egg giveaway has started?

BE SURE TO FOLLOW @partiko, because we will always announce easter egg giveaways through the @partiko account before the giveaway starts. We are trying our best to give you advanced notice so that you're always prepared. Joining our Discord server is another effective way of staying up to date with all our coolest giveaway events.

How do I know that I have successfully found an easter egg?

After the easter egg giveaway has ended, we will make another post about the winners.

When should I expect to receive the rewards?

You should receive the reward the moment we make the winner announcement post.

Does iOS have easter egg giveaways?

Both Android and iOS have easter egg giveaways.

I found some small changes, but why is it not an easter egg?

There are a couple of reasons:

• Someone found this easter egg before you.
• The small change you found was NOT added in the latest update. For example in Partiko Android 1.0.9.5, "loading animation around user picture when commenting" is not an easter egg, because this small change was added in Partiko Andorid 1.0.6. An easter egg for Partiko Android 1.0.9.5 must be added after the previous version of 1.0.9.5.

Any other tips?

• Use Partiko (latest version) as much as possible. This is definitely not for everyone, but for those who're really excited about the easter egg giveaway, this is something you should definitely keep in mind. The more you use Partiko, the more likely it is for you to find new unannounced features and changes.
• Follow @crypto.talk. @crypto.talk is the chief designer and engineer of Partiko, and he sometimes makes posts about new features that he's developing. You will probably find some clues in his posts!
• Pay attention to other people's submissions. You only have 3 chances, therefore take a look at other people's submissions whenever you're trying to make a new one. If you submitted an easter egg and someone else submitted the same one before you, you won't be eligible for the reward.
