Delegation Curation Project Update #2 - An Initiative by @steem-hodler

Hello everyone! This is our second update on the @steemitmamas curation project. The @steemitmamas has received a generous delegation of 7500 SP from @steem-hodler and @news-today! We are the first recipients of their Delegation Initiative. If you missed our announcement you can read it here in our initial post! We are so grateful for their generosity and care for the life of Steemit!

The last two days has been a whirlwind of work and finally I get a chance to sit down and write this update. This delegation has brought a new lease of life into the community as we are now able to give back a significant vote value to quality posts on Steemit.

I happened to check on our post on Saturday and OMG! We were on the trending page! I couldn't believe it that we caught the eye of a few whales who saw fit to give us big fat juicy upvotes that sent us straight there! THANK YOU! Once again our discord chatroom was abuzz with excitement because this is the first time ever that our community post has garnered this sort of attention. I am happy to say that because of this, we have been exposed to many more people who resteemed our posts and left us great supportive comments. So yeah... TRENDING PAGE!! I couldn't help but grab a screenshot and post it all over our discord! LOL!

The use of the @steemitmamas tag and banner

Saturday and Sunday we had a little trouble finding some good post as our @steemitmamas tag and banner were not really used by people. We understand that in today's Steemiverse the myriad of tribes and their tokens make choosing which tags to use very difficult. Tribe tags come with their tokens which bring additional value to the account. So we have asked that people use our tag as much as possible and to put our banner on their post so that we can find them and vote on them. We hope that after this delegation period is over, more people will see our banners and use our tags appropriately when doing their postings.

Both @crosheille and I have been also busy sending DMs to all the Moms whose post we wanted to vote on but didn't because of the tag and banner issue. Phew! Hard work indeed! I am glad to say that our effort paid off and more and more of our tags started popping up. Yay! More posts to vote on.

Delegators And Loyal Supporters Who Upvotes Our Community Account

We realised a small mistake that we made since going manual was that we had forgotten all about our delegators! But only for one day and we quickly resume voting on their content immediately the next day. We made up for it by voting a little extra and still kept up the voting for other post. Thank you once again to all our delegators for trusting us with your SP! We are so grateful!

Voting Power

So far we have managed to keep our voting power above the 80% threshold. Yesterday we got our VP down to about 85% at 10.23 pm (Malaysian time) and at the time (5.11 pm Malaysian time) of writing this post it is at 87%. We will be doing one more round of voting tonight to bring it closer to 80%. But the lowest that we have gotten our VP to is about 82%. We need to vote just a little bit more to make sure that we are not letting idle VP sit around not contributing anything.

I have put our delegators and a few important communities/tribes on autovote to maximise our curation rewards so that we don't have to go looking for them at the moment.

That wraps up this round of update. We are really learning as we go along and tweaking it to make the most out of this short delegation. This is a wonderful opportunity for us and I am just grateful for it eventhough it is only for a short time.
