Abundant Dinner 丰盛的晚餐

Yesterday we were hosted by our friends in Taiwan for an abundant dinner at a Japanese Restaurant in Hualien. Twelve of us gathered around the table. One course of food after another being laid out for our consumption.

The first course of food was on a big plate. To our surprise, that was only the appetiser to be followed by the hidden courses of food. We happily enjoyed the food as well as talking with one another. As there were varieties of food, so also the guests and hosts were international including Malaysians, Koreans, the Philippines, indigenous friend from India, Taiwan indigenous people. Therefore, we tend to communicate with one another using multiple languages.

Indeed, it was an abundant dinner with so much delicious food. Beside that, it was an enriching experience to interact with people coming from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

昨天台湾的朋友在花莲一间日本餐厅招待我们享用丰盛的晚餐。我们十二个人围着桌子，然后可口的食物一道又一道呈现在桌子上面。

第一道菜被放在一个大盘子，而令我们惊讶这只是开胃菜。我们很高兴地享用美食及彼此交谈，食物种类繁多，客人和主人来自不同国家即包括马来西亚人、韩国人、菲律宾人、印度及台湾原住民，因此我们釆用多种语言相互交流。

事实上，这是一顿丰盛的晚餐，有很多美味的食物。除此之外，与来自不同文化和语言背景的人进行互动亦是一项丰富人生的体验。
